Motherhood

My journey started March 2000 when I found out I pregnant, later to find out I was having a boy! I had mixed emotions, with just being 18, excitement and scared all at the same time. December 15, 2000 I gave birth to my first son Ashton Collin Truitt, 8lbs 12oz!

This little boy was one of the greatest joys of my life, he gave me a purpose to change directions. Watching him grow up is fun, and challenging! He has always had an older soul, being that it was just me and him for the first few years. He is shaping to be an amazing young man. He is blessed to be such an amazing athlete. He keeps me going all seasons with wrestling, baseball and now football. I can't believe he is almost a teenager!

Adding to my journey on Sept. 28, 2004 I gave birth to Landon Kale Griffith weighing in at a whopping 8lbs15oz. I remember being at a Dr. visit when I was 9 months preg. and the Dr. said "HOLY COW.....ARE YOU HAVING TWINS." (yes I was that big!) He wanted to see a sonogram right away, sure enough there was just one little fatty in there, the Dr. said he was going to weigh over 10lbs, I told him under no circumstances would I be pushing him out! Needless to say I had a C-section.

Landon has brought me several joys as well, he's my baby but boy o' boy is he the wild one! He plays sports as well, but I really think this kid is going to be a fighter!

Ashton and Landon are two very different personalities but in the same since they are so much alike. A mothers love is so strong and these two boys are my world!
